Ten Value Added Resellers Selling Keyware’s Biometric Products Signed up During Last Quarter

Zaventem, Belgium — October 9, 2001 — Keyware (NASDAQ Europe: KEYW), one of the world’s leading providers of biometric and centralized authentication solutions, today announced that it has signed up several new channel partners in Europe and the United States. After commercial agreements with companies such as Healthcast and BMS Integrated Office Technologies in the United States, Euxia in France and InfoGuard in Switzerland, Keyware contracted new business partners in the United Kingdom (OneSync), Finland (Heltel and Netmedia), and the United States (Alternative Computer Technologies, Ensodex, NuFocus). The agreements with those business partners could generate annual revenue of between $250.000 and $1.000.000 per partner, per year.
Thumb Recently Keyware’s Technologies and Solutions Division initiated a reseller partner program in order to develop its indirect sales channel. Keyware signed up ten channel partners or Value Added Resellers (VAR), of which there are 5 in Europe and 5 in the United States. All these companies have access to the complete line of Keyware’s biometric security products. This includes CAS (Centralized Authentication) Server, CAS SignOn, and the latest CAS Guard. CAS Guard is a biometric access security appliance, which enables enterprises to centrally manage strong biometric authentication to their network, applications and Internet resources and also incorporates other solutions targeted at companies securing their Internet connection (router, firewall, VPN, proxy, etc). Several of their customers have already shown interest in integrating our biometric solutions into their applications.” United States: Alternative Computing Technologies (www.altcomp.com) Alternative Computing Technologies (ACT) is one of the largest North American distributors of advanced computer security, services and products. ACT looked into biometrics due to requests from some of their customers who wanted to achieve a higher level of authentication security. ACT’s commitment with Keyware involves an upfront investment of $147.000. United States: Ensodex (www.ensodex.com) Ensodex, headquartered in St. Paul (Minnesota), creates the framework for robust, secure and scalable web enabled enterprise systems. The company - which serves mostly Fortune 100 companies such as Ford, Boeing and Lockheed Martin - also insures that e-business and web integration initiatives are flexible to adapt to the requirements of tomorrow. Ensodex plans to integrate Keyware’s biometric authentication solutions into their Tupelo Internet Development Framework and applications. United States: NuFocus (www.nufocus.com) NuFocus is a technology service company providing single source end-to-end solutions around Internet access. Secure authentication, which biometrics ensure, is crucial within this process. The Company is primarily providing secure authentication for financial services and Internet applications to the healthcare industry, governmental and educational institutions. NuFocus is working through service engineers, support personnel and solution providers available in over 7,000 locations in the US. The company made on upfront investment of $150.000. United Kingdom: OneSync Ltd. (www.onesync.co.uk) Onesync, based in London (UK), develops the infrastructure needed to build a maximum-security connection between private networks and the Internet. This company found an ideal partner in Keyware for the supply of biometric and network security appliances, which enables companies to set up secure communication and information channels combined with biometric authentication. OneSync has already invested $65.000 upfront for Keyware products. Finland: Heltel (www.heltel.fi) Heltel is a subsidiary of Elisa Communications, which is the largest locally operated telephone company in Finland. Heltel will serve as Keyware’s prime value added reseller (VAR) in Finland. Heltel commercializes the very best telecommunications and information technology products available worldwide into its local market. The Finnish telecommunications market has developed strongly since the 1980’s and Finland belongs to the fastest developing countries in mobile phone and Internet use. Heltel will collaborate with Keyware on the development and marketing of telephony, network and information security systems using Keyware’s biometric verification and authentication technologies. The company invested 37.000 Euro upfront. Finland: Netmedia (www.netmedia.fi) Netmedia Finland is a Value Added Reseller (VAR) specialized in communications technologies, firewalls and security services. With offices in Vaasa and Helsinki, Netmedia operates via a national reseller network servicing Telcos and ISPs, both small-to-midsize and large companies, Cities and Communities, schools and Universities. Netmedia is therefore highly interested in distributing Keyware’s CAS SignOn and CAS Guard. The company is currently presenting Keyware’s products to its broad Finnish reseller network.
