Total Smart Card Platform Integrating Payment, Loyalty and Ticketing Applications Exhibited at Cartes 2001
Zaventem, Belgium / Cartes 2001, Paris October 23, 2001Keyware (NASDAQ Europe: KEYW), one of the worlds leading providers of biometric and centralized authentication solutions, announced today the launch of Smart-Way. This smart card application management and transaction-processing software combines loyalty, payment and ticketing applications for the traditional environments (ATM, cash registry), m-commerce (SMS, WAP) and e-business world (Internet, web kiosk). Smart Way is exhibited at the smart card trade show Cartes 2001 in Paris (booth D04) October 22 through 25.
Smart Way is part of Keywares total smart card applications range called Smart-Universe, which offers separate loyalty (Smart-Shopper), ticketing (Smart-Show), identity (Smart-Identity), payment (Smart-Wallet), or physical access solutions (Smart-Access) based on smart cards software. It is a network, card and access point independent software solution built for high-volume smart card environments involving a lot of transactions. On the front-end, Smart-Way is accessible via PC, ATM, mobile phone, kiosk, check out register, interactive TV, portable data scanners, remote and web application servers, etc.
Biometrics
Log into the Smart-Way platform is secured by a combination of authentication protocols and integrated with Keywares CAS Server and CAS Guard products, which are built around Keywares award wining Centralized Authentication Software (CAS). CAS offers a highly secure and flexible solution for any combination of cards-based payment, loyalty and ticketing systems. CAS provides user authentication, combining biometric (voice, face, fingerprints, etc) and non-biometric (pin, passwords, etc) authentication tools. With Keywares CAS, security administrators can be reassured that the right people access the right applications.
Customer profiling
Smart-Way allows companies to obtain information about their customer profiles. This information can be used for data modeling, like trend analyzing, personal advertising, targeted vouchers, individual segmentation, etc. This allows companies to retain their customers with targeted promotions and campaigns. It also enables companies to attract and gain new customers via database or customer profiles from partners or complementary organizations, which are connected to the same loyalty smart card program.
