NXP stellt neue Wireless-Mikrocontroller-Familie für das "Internet der Dinge" vor

Eindhoven, Niederlande / Sheffield, UK, 22.11.2012 - NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) präsentierte mit der JN516x-Familie die nächste Generation energiesparender Wireless-Mikrocontroller für JenNet-IP-, ZigBee®- und weitere IEEE 802.15.4-Anwendungen. Die JN516x-Wireless-Mikrocontroller integrieren 2,45-GHz-Funk- und analoge Peripheriegeräte mit Mikrocontroller-Funktionalitäten auf nur einem Chip. Das macht sie zu den branchenweit ersten Ein-Chip-Geräten, die JenNet-IP, ZigBee Light Link, ZigBee Smart Energy, ZigBee Home Automation und RF4CE unterstützen. Die JN516x-Familie ist für die aktuellen Netzwerk-Stacks außerdem mit bis zu 256 KB integriertem Flash-Speicher, 4 KB On-Chip-EEPROM und 32 KB RAM auf dem JN5168 aufgerüstet. Damit bietet sie die branchenweit besten Speicheroptionen. Ein weiteres Merkmal ist die integrierte Antennendiversität: Durch sie können die Systeme für jedes eingehende Paket die jeweils beste Antenne auswählen.
