According to the latest control results, the application of public procurement legislation still causes immense problems to authorities involved in the management and control system of EU funds. There are huge financial costs at stake for Member States if public procurement law requirements are not met. Immense funding gaps can seriously jeopardize further conduct of EU funded projects.

All bodies involved in the management and control system of EU have to be up to date with the legal framework and all legal implications as well as to make sure that EU funding is spent in full compliance with public procurement rules. The involved stakeholders need to be aware how to use procurement procedures and specifications to their advantage in order to ensure the most effective use of EU funds.

The 2nd European Summer Academy “Public Procurement for EU Funded Projects 2013” offers the rare opportunity to learn how to ensure that you receive best value for money in procurements and how to prevent irregularities. It provides a thorough practical training in the field of public procurements for all authorities involved in the management & control system of EU funds.
