Leading Systems Integrator to Sell Keyware’s Products for Security Applications in the Energy, Chemical, Auto, and Telecom Industries

Zaventem, Belgium — September 20, 2001 — Keyware (NASDAQ Europe: KEYW), one of the world leaders in biometric and centralized authentication solutions, has announced a commercial agreement with Euxia, a global value added reseller (VAR) of network and data security services in France. The agreement calls for the two companies to collaborate on the development and marketing of network and information security systems using Keyware’s biometric verification and authentication technologies. This will generate annual revenue of a minimum of $250,000 USD for Keyware.

Euxia provides a range of consulting and telecommunications application services to the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive and telecom industries.

“This is an important opportunity for Keyware to further its goal of bringing biometrics into the mainstream,” Frank Coucke, VP Sales Technologies and Solutions Division of Keyware. “Euxia has an impressive list of blue chip customers and is held in high regard as a technology innovator. Adding biometrics expertise to Euxias portfolio of capabilities is a giant step toward broader market adoption in France and throughout Europe.”

The agreement will focus on the market for intranet and extranet systems as well as network logon using a range of biometric techniques including voice verification, facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. Applications might include biometric authentication for accessing automation controls on drilling platforms or secure corporate facilities, or secure network log-in to protect confidential corporate data and server access.

The agreement gives Euxia access to the complete line of Keyware security products including the latest CAS SignOn for Windows, a highly secure log-on solution that uses multiple layers of biometrics (face, fingerprints and voice verification) to provide multiple levels of security for access to any size Windows NT/2000 network.
