As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)/Senior Softwareentwickler (m/f/d) at Ratepay, you will make a significant contribution to our shared mission of building and developing secure and simple payment solutions for the online retail market, which still continues to grow.

Your duties

• You are responsible for development, operation and improvement of our system for risk assessment, seller and buyer experience
• You collaborate with your and other teams to integrate internal and external APIs in a micro-service architecture
• You are an active participant of our agile software development process, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams
• You guide and support junior team mates

Your profile

• At least 7 years of professional working experience in Java backend development and solid practice with Kotlin is nice to have
• A deep understanding of Spring/SpringBoot, version control, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and virtualization
• Very good knowledge about concepts such as REST, Micro Services, AWS, Message Bus and OAuth
• Solid experience with service-to-service communication with Apache Kafka
• Engineering and building high quality customer solutions in an agile environment
• Participation in each step of the software lifecycle, and embracement of the 'you build it, you run it' approach of DevOps
• Self-organized work, as well as collaboration within the team, and with other teams across Ratepay, in order to deliver high quality value to our stakeholders and merchants

Very good English language skills
