Moers, Germany 17. November 2005 System Integrators world wide have been demanding for an optimised handheld PDA which is useful whether in the field, on the road, or on the factory floor and supports RFID TAG reading and writing and also most common barcode technology.
Very often in the industry there is mixed identification technology in use and has caused problems to users due to need of reading RFID TAGs and barcode labels nearly in parallel. Since TECTUS has now introduced the new TPP-12-BC Notepad RFID and Barcode PDA this problem is solved. Designed for use in harsh environments, the TPP-12-BC device can withstand multiple 1.5 m (5-ft) drops to concrete and is sealed against dust and rain. The device comes with all necessary accessories like desktop or truck communication and docking station. Belt clip and holster etc. are available as well as snap on modem. Modern interfaces like WLAN and Bluetooth are possible via free Card slot options. Standard barcodes and TECTUS RFID TAGs and other based on RFID ICs like Unique EM4100, EM4102, EM4105, ISO11784 /785, Q5, Hitag 1, Hitag S are supported. RFID Demo software is included already. TECTUS can support also software adaptations according to customized needs on request. API and DLLs are available for Windows CE and pocket PC and optional also for Windows.NET. For the HF 13,56 MHz ISO15693 oriented market and industry and logistics and supply chain applications TECTUS will launch a Notepad PDA in the beginning of 2006.
