31.01.2018: Thanks to the GlobalPlatform qualification of COMPRION eUICC Consumer Devices card tests, test labs and card manufacturers are able to certify their eUICCs for the GSMA eSIM ecosystem.     To become part of the closed GSMA eSIM ecosystem, all applicants – meaning eSIMs, servers, and devices – must prove that they meet the GSMA requirements. “This ensures that the individual players authorize each other as ‘interlocutors’ and that they are able to communicate,“ explains Dr. Frank Oberhokamp, Product Manager eUICC Consumer Devices Test Solutions at COMPRION. The GSMA as “gate... | Weiterlesen

25.07.2017: Over-the-air updates of eUICC profiles now possible using a simulated network through Anritsu MD8475A COMPRION eUICC Profile Manager, the only software tool for efficient eUICC life cycle management, is enhanced by an additional connectivity option. The software allows over-the-air updates of eUICCs and their profiles by means of a simulated network. “Starting with the COMPRION eUICC Profile Manager release 1.2, the connection can now be established using the Anritsu MD8475A network simulator”, announces Jens Christoph, Director of the eUICC Test Solutions Business Unit. For over ten years... | Weiterlesen

02.03.2017: COMPRION’s modular tool for efficient eUICC life-cycle management now supports phase 2 of the GSMA specifications for consumer devices. Phase 2 of SGP.21 and SGP.22 will be the new basis for worldwide interoperability of Remote SIM Provisioning for consumer devices. The eUICC Profile Manager for phase 2 will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.   The eUICC Profile Manager is a tool designed for mobile network operators, card manufacturers, system integrators, or service providers. Jens Christoph, Director for eUICC Test Solutions at COMPRION explains: “It helps enginee... | Weiterlesen

02.11.2016: RSP M2M Test Platform is the name of the new COMPRION test solution enabling remote SIM provisioning (RSP) tests in a lab environment. Jens Christoph, in charge of eUICC M2M test solutions at COMPRION, explains, “The solution consists of a modular set of server simulations providing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interfaces. Thanks to its modularity, RSP M2M Test Platform can be used to test each entity of the RSP architecture: eUICCs, MNO, SM-DP and SM-SR servers, and also the devices carrying the eUICC”. Embedded UICCs (eUICCs or eSIMs) can be tested when they are accessible, and e... | Weiterlesen

COMPRION Launches Software for Managing eUICC Profile Functionality

COMPRION is the only test company so far to configure and provision eUICCs soldered into a device

12.09.2016
12.09.2016: COMPRION eUICC Profile Manager is a new piece of modular software that consists of a set of server simulations which access the various eUICC capabilities. eUICC Profile Manager covers both GSMA eUICC specifications: M2M and Consumer Devices. Hajo Sandschneider, Marketing Director at COMPRION explains, “By performing the regular remote SIM provisioning scenarios in a lab environment, devices that are equipped with eUICCs can be prepared and preconfigured for usage or testing purposes, for example, the network interface. COMPRION eUICC Profile Manager is the most suitable tool for this task.... | Weiterlesen

29.07.2016: The SIM card – the secure element in mobile communication which is used for authentication and identification within the network – will be increasingly replaced by the eUICC, a SIM that is firmly soldered into mobile devices. The first connected services are launched, and eUICCs are starting to be actually used in cars and smart watches. Some of them are still based on proprietary standards. Therefore, the need for making the technology reliable and interoperable becomes greater than ever before. The GSMA has issued specifications for remote provisioning procedures in M2M and consumer devi... | Weiterlesen
