Now wanting to take our product business to the next level, we are looking for a 
Head of Product Marketing to help achieve this goal.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Your key mission is to increase market awareness of our products, with the intention of driving an increase in sales. To do this, you’ll need to:
  • Gain insight into customer use of our current products, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure they can drive customer interest and adoption of our products.

You’ll need to educate both internal and external stakeholders about our product features and their benefits and deliver on-going communication for product updates. Together with the management and product team, you’ll develop and operationalise a marketing strategy for our B2B app business, across various channels such as mailings, SEO, paid advertising, social media, and reseller partners, amongst others. You’ll be responsible for creating an action plan and building up the necessary resources to implement this plan. You’ll also be responsible for the successful implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement of the lead generation funnel and campaigns.

This is a newly created position so you can set the course for our product marketing communications, shape the role, and develop a team to actualise your marketing strategy ideas. You’ll take ownership of the product marketing budget and plan the future for the marketing department.

  • Marketing is your passion.
  • You’re an independent thinker who takes initiative.
  • You understand the competitive environment we operate in, our target customers and the customer journey. You know how to get insight into how our customers use the current products.
  • You’re experienced in marketing SaaS products in a B2B environment and are motivated to get to know the Atlassian Marketplace business.
  • You’re familiar with many and varied product marketing techniques, such as creating personas, outlining customer journeys, pricing strategies, building go-to-market plans, and implementing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • As the first marketing professional in our product team, you’ll need to have the necessary qualifications and experience.
  • You truly understand digital marketing channels, and how each can be used to attract new customers.
  • You’re familiar with Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills are a must, and German is a plus.
  • You live in a similar time zone as the rest of the team (+/- 2h CEST time) to make communications with the team easier.

Most of the current product team has a technical background; now we’re looking for an energetic firecracker with the necessary skills and enthusiasm to present the advantages of our apps to the world :-)
