For a sustainable digital future, BayWa r.e. AG relies on an Azure-based state-of-the-art Data integration platform (DIP), that actively contributes to the success of our digital transformation. As an Azure Cloud Engineer / Data Scientist (f/m/d), you will work on the further development and optimisation of our data platform and, through your expertise, ensure a secure environment and reliable provision of the data. You will have the opportunity to actively design and influence the architecture and strategy of our platform. 


What You Will Do

• You build a powerful data architecture in the cloud and ensure the integration of data sources
• You support project work for connections to new systems, environments and central platforms
• You take co-responsibility for the development and expansion of the data infrastructure for optimal provision
• You build, deploy and monitor data integrations across our internal and external systems
• You resolve issues and service requests from the business
• You are responsible for the development and maintenance of automated data pipelines, data extraction, storage and analysis
• You are in charge of data integration platform change- and release management

What You Bring

• You have 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering with Azure Services (such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Event Hubs, Azure Kubernetes and ideally PowerBI)
• You are experienced in implementing cloud infrastructure solutions and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform and Azure DevOps
• You have a hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture and technologies
• You have experience with relational or NoSQL databases (MS SQL, Cosmos DB, etc.)
• Ideally, you are already certified in the Azure domain (e.g. Azure Developer, DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect)
• You understand technical integration technologies, such as API operations and XML and JSON concepts, as well as other web and database technologies
• You have programming skills (e.g. Python, Java)
• You have an agile mindset with experience working in agile environment
• You have advanced German and English language skills
