HSE Manager (m/f/d)

Full-time, Berlin

As ib vogt has a high standard of HSE, we want to increase our HSE team and are looking for an HSE Manager located at the Berlin HQ to monitor HSE performance of the group, conduct regular audits and inspections – at branch and project locations. Preferably, we are looking for a full-time employee, but part-time engagement could be negotiated. Your tasks will include:

• Contribution to the drafting of sector and thematic guidance notes for further orientation, assistance and interpretation for the application of standards by ib vogt staff, ib vogt group and external subcontractors.
• Development and implementation of HSE plans and emergency response plans for projects that comply with company policies and procedures as well as local and international requirements.
• Implementation of ib vogt company policies, procedures, and methods in HSE.
• Retrieving and managing statistical data on HSE for the group to report to management and external stakeholders.
• Serving as HSE subject matter expert and provide information to management about HSE related performance, issues and status of the HSE management system in regards to effectiveness and compliance.
• Carrying out accident / incident investigations, analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
• Carrying out internal management system, branch and site audits as part of the internal audit team ensuring that any non-conformances/observations raised as a result of internal and external audits are effectively resolved and closed out in a timely manner.
• Manage, consult and audit HSE in projects involving construction, mechanical & electrical works.
• Monitoring, upkeeping and improving the integrated management system ensuring that it is ‘fit for purpose’ and compliant, following ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 5001 standards.

Your Profile:

• Strong knowledge of relevant HSE principles is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business related or engineering field preferred.
• Proficient documentation skills and experience with MS-Office (especially Excel, Word) is needed.
• Knowledge of and ability to use management concepts and principles including goal setting, planning and execution and understanding of regulatory requirements and processes (especially ISO standard).
• Critical and solution orientated attitude and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Experience as an internal auditor is a plus.
