M&A Business Manager

We are supporting one of the world's leading energy companies in its search for an M&A Business Manager for the German region. This individual can be based anywhere in Germany.

The M&A Business Manager will play a critical role in assessing potential pipeline and exit market conditions to guide onshore wind project development activities throughout the country.

Responsibilities:

• Review internal project documents to ensure assets meet the highest level of standards, while maximise transaction profitability


• Collaborate effectively across the company's international business divisions, including Project Finance, Engineering, Business Development and Legal, to ensure transactions progress quickly and efficiently to meet and exceed budgetary forecasts


• Develop and deliver investment decks and financial models to assess portfolio valuations and inform Investment Committee review


• Manage virtual data rooms throughout the due diligence process, coordinating with legal, financial and TAs, DNOs, Asset/Project Managers


• Support assessment, negotiation and closing of bigger M&A transactions that are lead from corporate teams


• Prepare presentations to inform and/or ask for approval of transactions to the top management board in the HQ

Requirements:

• Proficiency in both German and English is required; other languages are a plus


• Technical or commercial studies or comparable qualifications


• Previous experience in the field of M&A


• Strong negotiation skills

• Knowledge of economic valuation methods and familiar with P&L, and Balance Sheets
