The Approval organization within Maritime Ship Classification consists of Approval Centre Norway (Høvik and Ålesund), Approval Centre Germany (Hamburg) and Approval Support Centre Poland (Gdynia). A total number of employees is ~380 with the two bigger units in Norway and Germany and a smaller unit in Poland. The main delivery from the Approval organization is approval, verification and certification services for different maritime related assets, mainly newbuildings, systems and components.

We are seeking a skillful, curious, and agile Approval Engineer for our section Machinery and Piping Systems located in Hamburg, Germany. You will be part of our team of 21 highly qualified engineers, who are responsible for approval of ship systems against international/national regulations (IGF code, MARPOL/ SOLAS regulation) and classification rules for different ship types. Our section is working closely together with yards, design offices and ship manager. Furthermore, contact with manufacturers is particularly important.
