We are looking for a Google Cloud Data Engineer (f/m/d) to join our E.ON Digital Technology GmbH team.
New Digital Business Energy Networks is a new department within the Digital Resort. It is developing digital products for E.ONs grid business and the external market. One of the product is E. ON´s first real time IIoT solution to digitize the grid. Everybody selected for this department will have their own responsibilities and ownership. We want you to develop your skill set further and to grow together with us and the products. You will also be part of the patent application process if you wish and spend a large amount of your time engaging with key partners around the world like Google, semiconductor manufacturers, production engineering in the factory and on site at installations in the field.
Tasks
You run the test operation in an already built production system for industrial IoT
You implement efficient IIoT processing algorithms in real time in production systems (defined as 5 seconds or less for local NTP / PTP time bases)
You ensure the quality of the clone GCP systems
You are responsible for the system integration with the Teams of SysOps, Security / Authentication and Wittenstein RTOS ARM with FPGA / AI co processing
Qualifications
You have a university degree in computer science and applied or pure mathematics with a focus on calculus, trigonometry or number theory.
You have a GCP Professional Data Engineer certification
You are familiar with PubSub-to-DataFlow transformations for time series data and geometrically inconsistent FFT
You have experience with Redis / Memorystore real-time processing capabilities, optimization of load balancing
You have more than 3 years of experience with BigTable vs. Big Query data schemas
You are familiar with Protobuf to JSON ingestion and conversion tests
You are proficient in the common primary languages JavaScript and C
You are familiar with the following algorithms: ARIMA, Bayesian, Graphing Databases (Janus, Neo4j)
You are familiar with Tensor Flow and TensorFlow lite export to Edge
You have very good knowledge of German and English
What you need to know
On successful selection a standard Government background check will be done due to working with critical infrastructure systems
Further training during the 6 months on GCP Google in Munich will be required
Coding Interview and Testing // Assessment will be part of the selection process
