Category Manager Real Estate (m/w/d)

Your tasks:

  • Responsible for the strategic purchasing for all real estate related topics over lifecycle (governance function)
  • Monitors continuously the economical, technical & social market trends & risks for the assigned categories, sub-categories and suppliers (market surveys).
  • Develop & implement worldwide purchasing strategies for the assigned categories and sub-categories based on customer / internal stakeholder requirements and market data / trends as well as benchmarks.
  • Develop and execute strategies for RfQs & negotiation in congruence with customer / internal stakeholder requirements; prepares and continuously update the Category Statement.
  • Ensure a compliant supplier selection / release process, as well as preparation for the awarding / decision process.
  • Conclude relevant supplier contracts (e.g. Framework Agreement, Service Level Agreement, Quality Assurance Agreement, including adequate pre-agreements).
  • Identify, initiate and manage further global savings potential and improvement-projects (e.g. cash and capital improvement measures, VA/VE and localization ideas).
  • Manage actively a global strategic supplier portfolio based on customer & internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Monitoring suppliers contract adherence, ensure capacities for to be delivered goods and services.
  • Implement and maintain an internal Stakeholder Management.
  • Manage escalations, especially in events seriously endangering LEONI production and/or deliveries to the customers (e. g. material allocation, late delivery of material, goods or services).
  • Recovers non-conformance and non-performance costs from suppliers (in escalation).
  • Report and monitor the allotted KPIs and developing and implementing adequate measures to resolve deviations.
  • Meeting suppliers regularly to exchange information and tackling actual topics, including regular on-site visits at the suppliers (technology know-how)

Your skills:

  • Completed university studies in engineering, architecture or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing
  • At least 5 years of experience in NPP, specialized in all Real Estate topics over lifecycle
  • experienced in setting up a new governance function
  • Profund negotiation skills
  • Depth knowledge of legal, tax and market mechanism in regards to RE suppliers
  • Working experience in an international environment
  • Business fluent in English, German is a plus
