We are looking for a Funding Manager EIS (f/m/d) to join our team in Essen.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage projects and initiatives to acquire public funding for EIS and its customers in line with strategy
• Support the development and internationalization of the Funding Value Pool, analyze international markets for new growth opportunities within the business segment, primarily outside the existing core markets
• Support on establishing organisational ability to capture significant funding opportunities and volumes , such as the European Green Deal and link projects to strategic priorities
• Lead competitive EU & strategic national bids in close connection with the regions
• Closely collaborate with sales to develop new go-to-market approaches and to create customer pull through funding
• Develop own customer leads and enhance the partner network as an essential basis for successful projects
• Close collaboration with central functions in order to build lasting structures (e.g. finance) for Funding Value Pool and to enable reverse tendering
• Constant and trusted exchange with other business segments in order to build cross-functional projects and foster cross-sales activities
• Marketize & financially optimize EIS customer projects
• Closely collaborate with Senior Innovation Manager for EIS on introducting new technologies,  utilizing funding

Your Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in Economics, Engineering or similar
• Proven project management experience
• Excellent analytical and conceptual capabilities
• Strong commercial drive, best proven by track record
• Interest in managing virtual teams, best proven by track record
• Entrepreneurial attitude, 'can-do' mentality and results orientation
• High affinity for topics at the interface between sales, technical delivery, legal, finance and regulation
• Networking abilities (internal and external) and drive to foster cooperation across borders and functions to build strong relationships to all stakeholders
• First experience with public funding is preferred but not a must
• Self-motivated, confident and focused with the ability to take on responsibility and to drive change
• The role involves frequent travel, so flexibility and a willingness to travel is a must
