Sales Manager NB & Projects

We are now looking for a 

Sales Manager NB & Projects (m/f/d)  

to join our team on permanent basis in Hamburg.

What will you be doing?

As Sales Manager NB & Projects, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Work on assigned customer accounts on New Build projects for entire Marine Power portfolio
  • Support the Lifecycle Sales Manager in complex Service projects towards owners
  • Promote innovation, future fuels, hybridisation in the market
  • Increase market share on assigned accounts and maximise order intake at German yards and owners 
  • Promote Marine Power capabilities and technical solutions at local designers, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Support Lifecycle Sales Manager in developing footprint at German customers
  • Actively promote strategic Marine Power initiatives in the market by contributing at conferences, webinars, exhibitions and lobby events.
  • Represent Wärtsilä in local associations on request
  • Manage, participate and lead negotiations acc to internal agreements
  • Follow internal guidelines on Sales process, Contract policies and customer benefit and broker directives
  • Maintaining customer visits, leads and sales planning in CRM
  • Provide market information both on market developments and competitor activities.
  • Support business development activities on request (e.g. market screenings, M&A, integration streams) 
  • Align above activities with General Manager Sales

 The below will enable you to shine in this role:

  • Experienced in the Marine Industry and/or medium speed engine environment
  • Preferably own network in local shipping cluster
  • Ability to work in an international business environment and virtual team
  • Dedicated team player with the ability to work autonomously 
  • Self-driven and self-motivating
  • Continuous learning ability.
  • Openness & willingness to adapt to change.
  • Willing to travel intensively domestically to meet customers
  • Proficient negotiation skills
  • Wartsila product & system knowledge is a plus
  • Familiar with using of the general Microsoft softwares and tools for online meetings
  • Bilingual in English & German
