We are looking for an experienced debt originator with extensive knowledge of project & structured finance debt in the European market to join our market leading Project & Structured Finance team at Siemens Bank in Munich, focusing on renewable energy, energy transition and infrastructure transactions in the region Europe. Around the globe, we support customer investments with project and structured financing as well as leasing and equipment finance. What part will you play? You identify, originate, structure, lead-arrange and execute structured & project finance debt transactions on an international level across the various asset classes in the renewable energy, energy transition and distribution and transmission sector. This includes primary and secondary deals, project finance, corporate-hybrid and structured finance debt solutions. You develop customer and transaction specific solutions and structures for debt financings ranging from €20mln to multi-billion transaction sizes, where appropriate in alignment with our Finance Advisory team and relevant Siemens AG businesses. Moreover, you solve all topic related questions and co-ordinate a deal-team of international specialists (Risk Management, Risk Controlling, Legal, Funding & Pricing) on a project basis. You build and maintain relationships with key high-profile clients and counterparties, providing the highest standards of service. You negotiate with international customers and their advisors and banks the envisaged individual solution (structure of transaction, term sheet, modeling, technical, legal, tax, insurance due diligence and facility) and execute transactions, ensuring that client and Siemens Bank’s strategic objectives are achieved. You review primary and secondary market transactions (mainly Project Finance, Corporate Hybrid) offered by other banks in view of a potential participation by SFS. You take ownership with the presentation of transactions to the SFS Managing Directors and the SFS / Siemens Bank Credit Committee. Moreover, you support the Project & Structured Finance team to build its strategic goals and ambitions to continue to develop the renewable-energy sector and excel as a sustainable entrepreneur. What you need to make real what matters. You have a university degree related to finance, banking or engineering and at least five years of comprehensive relevant industry experience with a solid conceptual understanding of project and structured finance and origination in a client facing role. An additional degree would be considered as a plus (e.g. MBA, CFA). Project experience is required and also thorough knowledge of risk assessment, rating, credit analysis, market and legal aspects of structuring complex transactions. Knowledge and deep understanding of market developments in the Energy sector across EMEA, as well as client and competitor landscape. Skills in financial modeling and experience in the field of construction bridge financing and equity-fund financing would be beneficial. You can prove your know-how and previous experience in structuring, negotiation and execution of complex project finance and related transactions. You are highly motivated, have a self-starter personality and enjoy working independently with attention to detail under high time pressure. A structured and logical approach to work, with an ability to manage large workloads and manage key client relationships. You have excellent networking, negotiation, communication and presentation skills with demonstrable stakeholder management expertise. The interaction with colleagues and partners in an international environment is crucial, therefore excellent English skills are required. Skills in other languages are an advantage.
