Projectmanager offshore substations / OHVS

Position description

As an offshore project manager for substations, you’ll play a crucial role in the execution of a large offshore wind project in Asia. The position can be done remote, preferably from the Netherlands due to the companies HQ, with occasional site visits.

Your responsibilities in this high demanding position are focused on the procurement, design and construction of the substations for a 500MW offshore wind project. You’ll be managing a team of engineers that will support you with the design and construction, which include activities relating to the transportation and installation of the substations and its foundation. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for the procurement activities. This involves coming to agreements with various subcontractors regarding the construction, logistics and installation. Due to your offshore experience and excellent commercial and planning skills you’ll find the right subcontractors for the job to execute within budget and according to schedule.

Whilst managing your team and dealing with the subcontractors, you’ll also be in constant contact with the project managers of other subdivisions within the project, such as foundation, cables and T&I for the continuous coordination of different phases of the project.

Your profile

• A technical university degree such as mechanical engineering or anything offshore related, including oil and gas
• Multiple years of working experience in offshore project management
• Very good commercial and organisational skills
• Excellent English language skills, Dutch language skills would be a massive advantage
• Willingness to occasionally travel to the site in Asia
