Agile R&D Project Manager (m/w/d) for Grid Stabilisation solutions

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field More than 3 years of project management experience in solution development projects and managing medium size project teams (up to 10 people). Basic know how of Grid Stabilization solutions, power network planning as well as MATLAB/SIMULINK Good command of agile project management methods (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile etc.). Ideally, previous work experience in the area of control and protection Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and in a changing environment. Ability to work effectively as a project team leader Fluent in English and German (or ready to become fluent in German) Flexible, self-motivated and focused on delivering results Your responsibilities Responsible for the planning, managing, and controlling of R&D projects in the area of FACTS solutions (STATCOM, UPFC, FSC etc.), partially with a focus on Control & Protection. Develop project artifacts (Communication management plan, Risk management plan, Iteration schedule etc.) in a transparent fashion, and hold regular team and stakeholder reviews. Coordinate activities and daily communications with the project team and client (internal), making sure that client’s expectations regarding project results are achieved. Identify the people, groups, or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the project, analyze stakeholder expectations and their impact on the project, and apply appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decisions and execution. Conduct regular interactions with the stakeholder community throughout the project to mitigate risks, build trust, and support adjustments already at early project cycles. Use short iterations to undertake work, review the results, and adapt as necessary. Perform iterative scheduling, on-demand, or pull-based scheduling as appropriate. Monitor and measure the iteration's progress, compare actual iteration/project performance against the project management plan/the baselines. Ensure that cost expenditures do not exceed the authorized funding. Identify, analyze and manage risks during each iteration. Perform frequent reviews of incremental work products to accelerate knowledge sharing across the team and ensure that risk are well understood and managed. Establish a positive team spirit and build a collaborative decision-making environment that is able to adapt to changing project circumstances.
