We are looking for a Field Application Engineer (f/m/d) to join our E.ON Digital Technology GmbH team.
New Digital Business Energy Networks is a new department within the Digital Resort. It is developing digital products for E.ONs grid business and the external market. One of the product is E. ON´s first real time IIoT solution to digitize the grid. Everybody selected for this department will have their own responsibilities and ownership. We want you to develop your skill set further and to grow together with us and the products. You will also be part of the patent application process if you wish and spend a large amount of your time engaging with key partners around the world like Google, semiconductor manufacturers, production engineering in the factory and on site at installations in the field.
Tasks
You are responsible for the preparation and training of field technicians and customer safety and technical presentations
You are the first point of contact for the installation and technical support of a complex semiconductor-based industrial module (ARM M4 and M7, LTE and Thread Industrial)
You will work proactively with the production engineers to optimize our product for the applications of our customers
You will work with our design and business development team to drive optimization on a large scale
You have a good understanding for new customer needs and expected functions and are able to translate them for ARM RTOS environment and real-time system (latencies of less than 5 seconds transport with a granularity of less than 250ms in edge processing)
Qualifications
You are familiar with tamper-proof hardware encryption and authentication level 4 IEC 62443-4-2 standards for critical infrastructures. X.509, PKI / 3FA multi-pinning.
You have a Master degree in Electronic Systems or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree
You have already applied for patents or proof of a unique contribution to a company IP
You work independently and always get the best out of yourself
You gained work experience with one of the most important manufacturers of semiconductor or industry standard modules (not retail electronics)
You have extensive technical knowledge of the electricity grid, at least in principle, preferably operations
You convince with your excellent communication skills and the ability to get in touch with customers
You are very willing to travel
You have German language skills at native speaker level and a good knowledge of English
What you need to know
On successful selection a standard Government background check will be done due to working with critical infrastructure systems
Further training during the 6 months on GCP Google in Munich will be required
Coding Interview and Testing // Assessment will be part of the selection process
