Project Engineer Grid Code Compliance Certification

Local Unit & Position Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated Project Engineer who will be part of our Grid Code Compliance-team located in Hamburg. The team consists of 24 colleagues who are dealing with certification processes for the renewable energy industry. We are active in at least the areas of wind, solar, biomass, hydro and storage. In the role of the Project engineer you will have the following main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the technical process of electrical grid code compliance in accordance with (inter)national specifications and standards
  • Software-supported modelling and examination (including DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MathWorks MATLAB)
  • technical and professional analysis, independent assessment and evaluation of test results on electrical components, generation units and plants, certification to prove grid code compliance
  • Tasks in the area of (further) development of technical guidelines, automated/digital solutions, support of tests and measurements, customer care, project management as well as development of new services and acquisition of new markets and customer areas


Position Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical engineering or similar education
  • Experience working with electrical side of renewable power generation (Wind, PV, CHP, inverters, controllers, etc) or grid
  • Fluent in English and German as an advantage
  • Good MS-Office
  • Analytical and thorough
  • Self-driven and eager to learn
  • Comfortable in an international environment

Preferred

  • Knowledge in grid code compliance regulations
  • Experience in compliance assessment, testing, simulation, technical advisory, certification, etc. relating to grid codes or similar
  • Experience with project management, business development and working with standards
  • Software skills: DIGSilent, MATLAB, data bases
  • Additional language skills niec to have
