(Senior) Manager Hydrogen - Project Commercialisation & Partnering (f/m/d)

What we are looking for

  • Development strategic business partnerships with the aim to form powerful company alliances and to add new asset growth projects to Uniper’s / Fortum’s hydrogen project portfolio;
  • Support the development of value driven business models for Uniper’s and Fortum’s hydrogen asset projects in UK, Germany, Netherlands, Nordics and other international markets;
  • Support the regional business development teams by providing strong commercial excellence throughout the project development phase by taking a lead role in the negotiation of partnership agreements and other commercial contracts, e.g. JVAs, MoUs, JDAs, etc;
  • Ensure transfer of commercial learnings, methods and best practice across Uniper’s and Fortum’s hydrogen project pipeline and across Uniper’s and Fortum’s core markets;
  • Monitoring and review Uniper’s and Fortum’s hydrogen strategy implementation process by identifying and analysing new value drivers along the value chains of PtX, PtL, blue hydrogen and gas splitting;
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities as well as conduct peer reviews in the field of hydrogen;
  • Steer and coordinate activities along the full hydrogen value chain (from power supply, production, conversion, midstream, sales). Leverage on Uniper’s and Fortum’s cross-value chain competencies, customer access and existing operations in natural gas (in particular along Origination, Supply/Trading/Optimisation, Transportation and Sales).
     

Who we are seeking

  • At least ten years of professional business experience in a commercial management role in the power and gas sector with focus on large capex asset projects and major commercial contracts, e.g. gas supply agreement, power purchase agreements, joint development agreements, JV agreements, etc.;
  • University degree in relevant studies, e.g. business administration, law, finance or related discipline;
  • Experience in working in international teams and dealing with complex multi-company business development activities;
  • High commercial competence and strong experience in structuring business models;
  • Professional command of English (and another language of a Uniper or Fortum core country beneficial but not essential);
  • Distinct team player skills with ability to integrate in diverse cultures and to cope with fast-changing business environment;
  • Top-class stakeholder management skills;
  • Drive, energy and determination to deliver against challenging targets;
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking combined with the ability to prioritize from a holistic view;
  • Demonstrate a strategic understanding of energy market trends, relevant customer strategy and requirements;
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Personal credibility, excellent team-working skills, ability to build strong working relationships across the Uniper/Fortum Group.
