Purpose of the job
• Defines and implements best-in-class Sourcing Strategies and Supplier Panel / supply base for the respective commodity
• Ensures the Sourcing Strategy is validated with relevant stakeholders and IGS Regions and applies it across BT
• Actively identifies and implements cost reductions and process savings
• Negotiates, communicates and manages the contracts and supplier relationship including performance of global contracts, granting global competitiveness for BT
• Supports Global Commodity Managers, Regional Buyers and Procurement Business Partners in contract implementation, risk management, claims and conflict resolutions.
• Manages internal key stakeholders and provides sustainable decision guidance

Key responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing / Demand Management / Stakeholder Relationship
Develop sourcing strategy for the sub-categories in scope
Align sourcing strategy with functions / regions, understand organization and market trends
Understands stakeholder demand and requirements, provide stakeholders with sustainable decision guidance
Analyze Budget / Forecast for supplies and propose consumption targets
2. Supplier Panel / Governance / Spend Control
Define suppliers and vendors for the commodities in scope
Drive implementation and compliance to strategic sourcing and IGS targets
Negotiates global agreements based on BT legal templates
Manage supplier relationship, supplier performance review and integration, ensure quality and delivery are measured
3. Validate and analyze Spend Data, provide market information
Establishes RfQs (Request for Quotation), auctions according to legal and technical requirements
Monitor supplier KPI’s and functional KPI’s
4. Cost reductions / savings initiatives
Identify potential savings / cost reductions in commodity, drive cost out of supplier’s business, BT and way to do business
Communicate and implement cost reductions / process saving initiatives across organization
Monitoring of spend and consumption on a monthly basis
5. Governance / Policy
Contribute to function policy and governance model
Ensure IGS Directive and legal policy is followed globally across regions
6. Processes, Tools, Reporting
Advice for process optimization, use best-in-class eProcurement tools
7. Communication / Lead the change
Communicates to IGS Regions, relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
Communicate with IGS tool key users, process responsible and liaise with IS
Communicate with the internal stakeholders
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Education
• Business or IT Degree or similar complemented by a demonstrated track record
Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
• >5 years of work experience in Procurement, Project(s) or Engineering with sound commercial acumen
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
• Negotiation/Influencing skills, Analytical skills, Process-oriented mind-set, Very Good Communication and presentation skills
Other requirements
• ERP Systems, eProcurement tools, Advanced level in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
