The entire landscape between the Atlantic and the Halahin River is extremely rich in species. 500 different birds alone offer bird and nature lovers an incredible intermezzo of sounds.

But also bats, lizards of all sizes, crocodiles and over 100 different species of fish, which are adapted to both freshwater and brackish water conditions, have taken advantage of the wonderful living conditions to reproduce diligently. The abundance of fish is visible, as the occasional sea bass or barracuda can be seen on.
