CFEID Introduction In October 2015, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research spearheaded the development of the China Strategy. Subsequently, in November 2016, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology released the "Science and Technology Innovation for a Common Future - German Strategy". The Sino-German Innovation Conference, held in Berlin, Germany in April 2016, has become the largest and most extensive science and technology innovation cooperation and exchange mechanism between China and Germany, and the "Sino-German Forum - Shaping Innovation Together" organized by Premier Li Keqiang in Berlin in June 2017. In June 2017, Premier Li Keqiang mentioned that China and Germany should be "golden partners" in innovation cooperation. The Premier emphasized the importance of Sino-German innovation cooperation. He pointed out that at present, the global economic landscape is facing profound adjustments and a new round of world scientific and technological revolution and industrial change is emerging, which brings unprecedented opportunities for innovation cooperation between countries. Germany is a leading country in basic research, strong in science and technology, and German industrial products are well known in the world. This reputation stems from Germany's rigorous, rational industrial spirit and industrial culture, and is recognized as an innovative powerhouse. With its huge market size, abundant human resources, complete industrial system and rapidly developing Internet economy, China has a unique advantage in innovation. The advantages of Sino-German innovation resources are highly complementary. Driven by the trend of cooperation between China and Germany, the China (Germany) R&D Innovation Alliance (hereinafter: the Alliance) was inaugurated in Berlin, Germany on November 24, 2016. On July 8, 2018, the Alliance was officially registered as a registered association with legal personality in Germany, and was officially inaugurated by Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang. As a driving force for Sino-German cooperation in the field of science and technology, the Alliance is dedicated to promoting the development of cutting-edge technologies and innovation in China and Germany, as well as the development of enterprises, associations and institutions, with the aim of "German-Chinese cooperation, collaborative innovation, scientific and technological transformation, and win-win cooperation".
